If you have cable, satellite or one of the dish TV deals available these days, you already know that TiVo is basically the same as what you can do with the DVR box.

Where Oh Where Has My TiVo Gone?

In November of last year TiVo announced that their prices would more likely than not be on the rise. With all the phenomenal deals on satellite and cable TV, I’m not sure what they’re thinking. Maybe what they’re thinking is that since everyone is using DVR’s on their cable and satellite television services, they (TiVo) are having a hard time making ends meet; and it’s either raise prices or go out of business. TiVo may be credited with being the DVR pioneer; but what have they done for you lately?

What Do The Stocks Say?

Even though TiVo’s stocks, in post market trading, are reportedly 4.6 up and on the rise, the company states that it lost $24.5 million. For the same period one year ago the loss was $20.6 million. Shareholders saw an average 21 cents loss per stock. TiVo’s outdated and outdone; it costs even more to watch clear pristine pictures with TiVo’s added HD.
HD/DVR boxes are available with cable or satellite.
