Memory Stick and Flash Memory Card
For rewritable and removable capabilities, a light weight feel, easy carrying and storage in your fashionable laptop bag, and a deceptively tiny look the best storage device for you could be a flash memory card. What you have is a metal or plastic encased, tiny little printed circuit board which have removable caps which protect the little metal end of the stick used for USB Port insertion. The Ups and Downs
It has advantages and disadvantages. It unfortunately is more expensive per storage megabytes than are DVD’s, CDs or the old floppy disks. And if you’re not careful with your equipment they can be very easily misplaced. And if you’re rough with your equipment the little metal end that you stick into the USB Port has been known to snap off (guilty on both counts). The good news on the other hand is that they bury DVD’s and CDs in the cute, compact and portable department. They even hold more than the old floppies or most CDs.
